Puff Pastry Plum Tart with Galloping Cows Strawberry Rhubarb Spread

This extremely simple puff pastry tart is our favourite summer staple dessert. It is the perfect sweet treat to bring along to family BBQ’s, potlucks or any summer get together. Glazed with our Galloping Cows Strawberry Rhubarb Spread, this seemingly unattainable dessert couldn’t come together more easily.

INGREDIENTS

7 black plums, sliced ¼ inch thick
1 Tbs grated orange zest
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1 sheet store-bought puff pastry, thawed and rolled ¼ inch thick
2 Tbs granulated sugar
1 egg
1 Tbs milk
2 Tbs Galloping Cows Strawberry Rhubarb Spread

PREPARATION

Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2
Toss sliced plums. Grated orange zest, vanilla extract and sugar in a medium sized bowl until well coated.

Step 3
Place puff pastry on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Arrange sliced plums, overlapping slightly, in lines from one corner of the pastry to the other, repeating to cover the pastry completely.

Step 4
Whisk together egg and 1 tablespoon of milk. Using a pastry brush, gently coat the edges of the pasty with egg wash. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed up and golden.

Step 5
Heat Galloping Cows Strawberry Rhubarb Spread in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until slightly melted. Using a pastry brush, gently glaze the tart entirely. Plate and serve.
